Tokyo (FN), Dec. 16 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet said that the Royal Government's main priority is to enhance employment opportunities by actively attracting investors to Cambodia.

The premier spoke in a meeting with the Cambodian community in Japan on Saturday (Dec. 16).

"Our main priority is to generate local job opportunities. I encourage Japanese investors to explore potential opportunities in Cambodia. They bring technology to train the human capital in the kingdom, envisioning that in 10 to 20 years, Cambodia's citizens can become engineers," the premier underscored.

"One aspect of Cambodia's economic policy is to create jobs in both quantity and quality of work in all sectors nationwide. Some ill-intended analysts always accuse the government for sending the citizens to work overseas," the premier continued.

In this context, Samdech Thipadei added that Japanese citizens also work in the United States, and South Korean citizens also work in Japan.

In the occasion, Samdech Thipadei mentioned that free trade relations involve ensuring the flow of goods and people, with the need to balance trade.
