Tokyo (FN), Dec. 16 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet urged Cambodian citizens residing abroad to uphold values of dignity, patience, honesty, and to respect other nations in their studies, life, and work.

The premier spoke in a meeting with the Cambodian community in Japan on Saturday (Dec. 16).

"I would like to appeal to Cambodian citizens living abroad to continue adhering to a code of ethics, to be dignified citizens, to exhibit patience, honesty, love for each other, make more friends, and respect individuals from different races. Although we are born in different countries, speak different languages, and follow different cultures, we all share the same essential needs to live. We breathe, eat, bear children, and have parents. Therefore, by avoiding animosity and making friends, we can foster positive relationships," the premier underscored

"Protecting the national interest of Cambodia. Recently, there have been many recent statements overseas, especially when they persuade citizens locally to quarrel and discriminate. Regarding the national interests and territorial interests, please have confidence in me as I am also Khmer," the premier added.
