Tokyo (FN), Dec. 16 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet urged protesters, who planned to hold demonstrations during the premier’s visit to Japan, to uphold Cambodia's image on the international stage and to refrain from violating Japanese law.

The premier spoke in a meeting with the Cambodian community in Japan on Saturday (Dec. 16).

"You are entitled to express your opinions. First, maintain your dignity. When in Japan, please express your opinions with dignity and a sense of shame. Second, avoid breaching Japanese law and be cautious of potential arrests by the Japanese authorities," the premier underscored.

Prime Minister Hun Manet affirmed that no matter who is in the line of politicians, as long as they win the election and respect the party's internal procedures, abide by the constitution and abide by the laws of each country, can hold a position in the political ranks. Therefore, it does not seem appropriate at all to criticize the seventh-mandate Royal Government while in Japan.
